MMOexp Last Epoch: Using Collapsing Horizons Echoes

If you've ever dreamed of dropping that perfect 3LP (Legendary Potential) World Splitter in Last Epoch, this guide breaks down everything you need to know about target farming efficiently. Whether you're hunting boss-specific uniques, world drops, or exalted gear, these methods will help you push your corruption levels and maximize your loot returns. Having a lot of Last Epoch gold can also help you.

Common Mistakes New Players Make

Before diving into the advanced farming methods, it's important to address two common mistakes new players often make:

1. Misusing Prophecies as Circle of Fortune players

Prophecies do not affect boss drops. They only apply to world drops and exalted items. Many players mistakenly stack prophecies hoping for increased boss loot, only to be disappointed. For example, even with high corruption and prophecies active in the Fall of the Empire timeline, boss-specific uniques like the Anchor won't appear more often. Always reserve your prophecies for general farming, not boss hunts.

2. Believing items only drop in one timeline

Another common misconception is that items like Titan's Heart drop exclusively in the Blood, Frost, and Death timelines. That's false - these uniques can drop in any timeline. However, Blood, Frost, and Death have a higher chance of spawning unique or set chest echoes, making it a better place to focus your farming.

Farming the World Splitter

Let's start with one of the most coveted items in the game - the World Splitter. It can drop from Aberrat (normal or Uber versions) or from the Harbinger of Hatred. Because Aberrat takes longer to farm, the Harbinger is the more efficient target.

Step 1: Locate the Harbinger of Hatred

You'll find this boss in the Black Sun timeline. There are two ways to farm it:

Stability farming: Complete echoes until you reach 800 stability, then challenge the Harbinger directly.

Glyph of Envy farming: If you've watched or read guides on glyphs and runes, this method allows faster resets and more frequent boss fights.

Before entering, make sure you select the Harbinger as your chosen boss target, as he's the one who drops World Splitter.

Step 2: Using Collapsing Horizons Echoes

A much faster method involves using Collapsing Horizons Echoes, a mechanic introduced in Season 2. These echoes summon the Harbinger specific to your timeline and even count as boss drops. You can chain-run them using Woven Echoes bought from the Haven of Silk vendor. Aim for 300-500 corruption for efficient farming, though higher corruption increases your odds of higher LP items.

Step 3: Farming and Recycling Drops

Keep every World Splitter you find, even 0LP versions. Once you've stocked up, head to Nemesis Echoes. Using the Nemesis Eggs, reroll your 0LP items for a chance to gain LP. To find Nemesis encounters more easily, invest in Weaver's Tree nodes and use Tower Woven Echoes, which contain multiple Nemesis events in one map. Though expensive, they dramatically increase efficiency.

If luck is on your side, you could pull a 3LP World Splitter from this process. If not, move on to the next phase.

Step 4: Turtle Echo Rerolling

Next, take all your 1LP or lower uniques to Turtle Echoes, which allow you to cheap Last Epoch gold reroll for higher LP. The odds are low, but it's a good way to recycle and potentially upgrade your gear. This technique isn't exclusive to World Splitter - it works for any unique item in the game.
